About Chong Wei Yang
Wei Yang is a litigation lawyer and has assisted in a wide range of litigation matters, including contractual disputes and bankruptcy matters. He has also assisted in non-contentious legal matters including shareholders agreements, tenancy agreements, and license agreements.
He started his career in the Singapore public service. He served as the Head of Division Operations (Legislation) at the Attorney General’s Chambers and Head of the Land Titles Registry during his tenure at the Singapore Land Authority (“SLA”). At SLA, he held concurrent appointments in both the Land Dealings Approval Unit and the Conveyancing Planning Unit. Wei Yang possesses a deep expertise in the administration of the Land Titles Act and Rules, Land Titles (Strata) Act and Rules and the Residential Property Act and particularly in relation to registration of land transactions, Certificate of Title issuance and foreign ownership of residential properties in Singapore.
